The company “Dirfis Mushrooms” was established by the two agronomists of the Agricultural University of Athens Lefteris Lachouvaris and Thanassis Mastrogiannis who have specialized in mycology and are professionally active in the field of mushrooms since 1995.
The company started its activities in March 2004 with the installation of a substrate production plant and the creation of the first satellite mushroom growing system in Greece, while in 2006 it entered the production of oyster and shiitake mushrooms. The farm is located near Mount Dirfis, on the island of Euboea. The facilities Include a substrate plant of 15000m2, 20 mushroom growing tunnels 360m2 each, a modern processing facility 800m2 and an olive tree plantation 6000m2. A 25-member team works with the same enthusiasm for the daily production of mushrooms, which is a highly demanding work.
