To make this jam we use red apples, grown in the village of Pyrgoi, in Kozani. Their sweetness and unique quality make for a wintery jam, gently scented with ginger and cinnamon. A must for apple pies and tarts, as it accentuates the flavour of any fresh fruit you opt to use. It teams up deliciously with biscuits, cakes and other pastries, or even gravies and salad dressings. Nevertheless, our favourite combination is with just a touch of fresh butter and some toasted bread.
One hundred (100) grams of jam are made out of at least eighty-five (85) grams of fruit.
