What makes these spreads special is the use of Greek concentrated grape juice instead of sugar customarily used in jams. We call them spreads because their sugars content reaches 52% and not 64% as in ordinary jams. This does not mean less sweetness in taste. Their uniqueness lies in their high fruit content since they do not contain pectin. For every 100g of final product we use about 150g of fresh fruit. The spreads are made during summer with fresh fruits which ripen on the trees in the region of Western Macedonia. They are 100% natural, handmade products without preservatives or industrially processed ingredients. Served as bread spread, accompanying salty or piquant cheeses, as a component for cakes and stuffed cookies, in yogurt or on ice cream, as an ingredient for giving sweetness to a dressing for fresh green salad.
